Hey there Toyota owners, today in your 2015 Toyota RAV4 we're going to be taking a look at the best towing mirror options. We've got three different options we'll be looking at today and they cover three different styles I'd like to go over with you.First is our dual lens option. This is from K-Source, this is the K-Source dual lens towing mirror. We have our standard towing mirror, this is an offering from CIPA, this is the CIPA universal towing mirror. And lastly, we have an option from CIPA that's for a wider field of view, and that's the CIPA clamp on towing mirror.I have the dual lens option installed for you right now on our RAV4 just to give you an idea of what towing mirrors are going to look like on your vehicle. They are a temporary option so everything you see here is removable, and they're all designed in such a way that they won't harm or scratch your mirror housing, and they're all designed with your blinker in mind, so you'll still have full access to your side blinkers on your mirrors.Just to give you an idea of the benefit you're going to see from towing mirrors on your RAV4, keep in mind your RAV4 is rated between 1,500 and 3500 pounds for towing, depending on the options you have installed. more

Today on our 2020 Toyota RAV4 we're going to be talking a look at and showing you how to install K-Source universal fit towing mirror, which is also sold as a set. Whenever we use a towing mirror it's really going to help expand our field of view, and that can really be useful whenever we're making a lane change, maybe backing up into a tight parking spot, or just wanting to keep a closer eye on what's going on behind us.To give an example on how much more ground we're able to cover, you can see I'm visible in our towing mirror but not in our factory mirror. However, if I take few steps closer to our trailer I disappear out of that towing mirror and become visible in our factory mirror. That's really going to help eliminate any of those blind spots as well.One of the big questions we get asked all the time in regards to universal fit towing mirrors is if you're going to have any noise or vibration, especially at higher speeds. To be honest with you, this fits really well and even if I move it around you can see it moves our whole factory mirror around with it, so really I really don't see that giving you any issues at all.Even with our towing mirror in place, we're still able to adjust our factory lens. more

To really give you a better feel of how these towing mirrors increase your visibility, we're going to be standing directly beside a trailer here, which as you can see, we are clearly seen in the factory mirror housings. However, if we we're to step over a few feet to simulate our blind spot, as you can see we're no longer visible from the factory mirror when we are able to be seen here from our aftermarket towing mirrors.In regards to universal towing mirrors, this K Source option is by far my favorite. There's a couple of reasons why this is my favorite. Number one, we have a dual lens mirror face here, which is going to give us an increased view of our trailer, in particular our blind spot, via the blind spot mirror on the side. more

We're going to be taking a look at these CIPA universal fit dual view towing mirrors here for our 2020 Toyota RAV4.To really help you understand how much an improvement these aftermarket towing mirrors are, here for our RAV4, we're going to be standing directly beside the trailer, which as you can see, we're still visible in our factory side mirror. However, if we we're to step to the left a few feet, which would simulate our blind spot, we're no longer visible from the factory side mirror, but now we can clearly see with the aftermarket towing mirror.What I really like about these CIPA towing mirrors here is that we have this dual mirror face. With both of the mirror faces being adjustable independently, up and down, and side to side. Now the benefit of this dual mirror faces, we're going to have a much better view of our trailer, the blind spots in particular so we can safely merge in traffic.As we can see here we have a nice and tight fit on the back of our factory mirrors here. We don't have to worry about any damage to our factory mirror housing as well. more

We're going to be taking a look at the CIPA Universal Towing Mirrors here for our 2020 Toyota RAV4.So to show you some benefits here that our towing mirrors are going to offer when we're out on the road, if we need to change lanes, generally speaking, we're going to have a pretty large blind spot with our trailer here. We're not going to be able to see cars coming upon us when we do need to merge over. However, these towing mirrors are going to be the perfect solution for that because they're going to essentially get rid of the blind spot with our trailer here. As you can see, I'm stepping to the side of the trailer where I'm still visible all the way until we get back to our factory mirrors.So what I really like about these CIPA towing mirrors, as you can see, we have a very large mirror face here, seven and a half inches by five inches. So this is going to give us a very wide view of our trailer. more

It offers us a wide field of view, it's gonna allow us to safely and easily change lanes, pass, park, or even back up while towing a small trailer or camper.As you can see I'm visible in the towing mirror, but not the factory mirror. Between the two mirrors on the towing mirror, we've got the larger and smaller one. The smaller one is gonna act more as a spot mirror. It's gonna give us more of an accurate view of what's behind us, while the larger one is gonna help us during changing and passing lanes.Now, if I take a few steps in towards my trailer, as you can see, there's no blind spot. more

CIPA Clip-on Towing Mirror Installation - 2015 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota Rav 4, we're going to be test fitting the Cipa clip on towing mirror. This is part number 7070. Works for either the driver's side or the passenger side. Our Cipa towing mirror's going to be a great solution for trailering. This is going to give us an expanded field of view so passing, changing lanes and negotiating around the campsites are going to be made easier. We won't have to stretch so far to try to look around behind the car. more

CIPA Clamp on Universal Fit Towing Mirror Installation - 2015 Toyota RAV4- Video
Today on our 2015 Toyota RAV4, we're going to be testing the CIPA Universal Fit Towing Mirror. This has an adjustable link clamp-on design, part number is CM11980. Now one of the things I really like about this style mirror is, it's very, very easy to install. You can see our clamps here. Just simply are going to use a thumb thread. We've got our rubber clamps here are going to come down and make contact with the top of the mirror so it'll protect that surface. more

K Source Universal Clip-On Towing Mirror Installation - 2015 Toyota RAV4- Video
All right today on this 2015 Toyota Rav4 we're going to install part number KS3891. This is a K-Source universal towing mirror that clips on. This is what our towing mirror looks like when it's installed on our passenger side mirror on our vehicle. Go ahead and cover some of the features. It has the size of 7 3/4 inches tall by 5 1/8 inches wide. The mirror itself is a convex mirror so it gives you a wide angle of view all the way around your vehicle and for your trailer. Now the mirror sits on a ball joint, right here, so you can rotate it in any direction that you need. more
